MadeForMums has tried the Cybex Avi Spin on our behalf and had the chance to test it with Genevieve Gregson, one of Australia's top middle-distance athletes who is also a new mother. We asked her what she thought about the pram and what she thought could be improved.

The Avi Spin is an all-terrain best stroller for rough terrain that offers the flexibility that modern families require from the moment they are born. The front swivel wheel is unrivalled for maneuverability in tight urban corners and the tyres that are filled with air provide comfortable cushioning for nature walks, city strolls or even runs. The swivel can be locked to provide additional stability when in rough terrain or while running. The fully reclined seat offers an ergonomic lying flat position that's suitable from birth. The one-pull strap makes it easier to access and exit the seat, while the compact folding design makes it easy for storage or transport. The wheels are also easily removable for an even smaller fold! It's unfortunate that the brake lever is located on the right side of the handlebar as this can make it difficult to operate by hand.

Out N About Nipper v5

The Out N About Nipper V5 allows you to take your child for smooth jogs or off-road walks in total comfort. Its lightweight frame, rear suspension and tyres with air-filled treads provide a comfortable ride over all terrains, including city streets and scenic countryside routes. This pushchair is able to be used right from birth and, with the appropriate adapters, it could also be used as an entire travel system.

The V5 model comes with technical fabrics that are water-resistant and has a brand new magnetic window, a more effective 5-point safety harness, as well as a faster one-handed fold mechanism. It also includes rain cover and basket. If you plan to use your buggy right from the moment of birth, you could purchase a baby insert. There are a few drawbacks though - it's not cheap and should you be looking for something to use from the time of birth until then you may struggle to find a better price elsewhere. It's also very heavy, so you may have to ask for the assistance of someone when it comes to transferring it the car. There are also a few small honeycomb-like exposed areas on the bottom of the seat that could be an ideal place for dumping and spilled drinks.
