Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 - Combos That Are Easy to Use

Car seat buggy 2 in 1 combines two of the most important pieces of baby gear including the infant car seat and stroller. It makes it so much easier to get on and off public transport (and walk up and down stairs).

Easy to Use

Parents must have a stroller and car seat combination that is easy to use. These systems make it simple to switch between running errands or walking the dog, or taking a jog. They also assist you in keeping up with your child's changing needs so that you can concentrate on your family adventures. These travel systems move smoothly and effortlessly, regardless of whether they feature one front wheel or two. The Thule Urban Glide 2 Combo and the BOB Alterrain Pro combo are incredibly easy to maneuver, but even the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo can be pushed easily with a single hand.

Some models are difficult to attach or remove from the base, however. The Doona Combo, for example requires a two-step attachment process and straps that go over the infant carrier's bottom portion. It's tempting to bypass these steps, but this could lead to unsafe results.

Certain models are also more difficult to fold and store than others, which makes them less practical. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for example, is difficult to fold due to its massive dimensions and bulky frame. Some testers also find the canopy on this model to be disappointing. However, the Britax Parkway Click and Go Combo is easy to fold with the pull of a lever and a snap of the button. This model is also a great option for parents who are planning on using their car seats on other vehicles because it can be quickly detached from the base and attached to any stroller that is standard.

Easy to Fold

It should be simple to fold and unfold the car seat, regardless of whether you're storing it in your trunk, or in the closet. The best combinations we've tested fold easily with just one hand and are durable enough to withstand long walks. They're also simple to move, sliding smoothly over bumps and uneven surfaces. Certain combos are only connected and removed using straps. This may be a bit like a second step and could make it harder for parents to secure their car seat properly.

The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is a fantastic option due to its sturdy construction and practical features, such as a large storage bin that is accessible from the front or back. SafeCenter LATCH, a unique feature of the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, makes it easy to install a car seat by connecting the lower anchors and pulling the straps tightly.

It's also relatively lightweight, making it a great option for frequent travellers or families with multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo, and the Thule Urban Glide 2 in 1 pram pushchair scored high in our ease of use tests. Both feature one front wheel that's simple to push (one-handed! Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also come with a flexible swivel wheel, perfect for running errands and shopping. The only downside is that they are heavy and can be difficult to lift when carrying a baby in car seats.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combinations can be difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the simplest travel systems to put together. It even comes with a helpful guide. Other models we tried like the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule Urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal, were also fairly simple to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps: attaching the lower anchors as well as using straps to cover the bottom of the carrier. It's also very heavy, which means it takes two hands to click the carrier into the base, then detach it from there.

In our tests, we took just 5 minutes to put together the UPPAbaby Cruz. This is a relatively quick process when you take into account the time saved from not having to rip out all the individual pieces. The toddler seat can be slid into and detached easily on most of these models.
